If you want real news about the smoking ban it takes ages to find anything from an anti ban viewpoint but it is out there..
The good news for libertarians is that there is a growing discontent about this ban even from the anti smoking fraternity..

It seems that this ban is hitting everybody very hard indeed..

Rural pubs in Ireland shutting down.
RURAL pubs and Inns are closing at a rate of more than one a day as drinkers move their custom to urban bars and off licences, new figures show. Almost 440 fewer pub licences were registered or renewed last year compared to 2005, according to the figures compiled by the Revenue Commissioners. This is the steepest decline ever recorded in the hospitality business.

Sobering times for Ireland's rural pubs and Inns.
AT last count, rural Ireland had lost 800 pub licenses in recent years out of about 10,000 pubs nationwide, although figures vary depending on which licensing categories are counted. Among other problems the pub owners have had to contend with is a smoking ban in workplaces introduced in 2004. The air quality in pubs improved and the atmosphere changed, spurring the pubs to serve cappuccino in the morning and better food. But banishing smokers to small huddles outdoors pushed some from the pubs altogether.

Guinness sales down.
GUINNESS owners, Diageo has revealed that volume sales have fallen by eight per cent in the year ended in June. It said that the Irish hospitality trade had suffered a downturn in customer numbers since the smoking ban in pubs was enforced a few years ago.

Smoking ban hits sale of beer.
IRISH pub goers have drunk 23m fewer pints since the smoking ban was
introduced at the end of March, according to new figures. There were 39m pints of beer sold in pubs from the beginning of April to the end of September, compared with 362m during the same period last year. The fall of 23m represents a 6% decrease, according to the survey by the Irish Brewers'

Association (IBA).
Publicans say the breweries are only now understanding what the hospitality trade had been saying months ago. "We said this from day one although the breweries did contradict us at that stage," said Seamus O'Donoghue, the president of the Vintners' Federation of Ireland. "The smoking ban is a significant player in this because it accelerated a downturn which began last Christmas. At our last meeting trade was down 30% in 'landlocked' pubs, that is those that had no room to put facilities outside for smokers."
O'Donoghue's own bar in Portlaoise is one such premises. "I would have an older age group coming into my pub and they are not coming out until later at night and they are not staying as long when they do. Whereas they wouldn't mind going out the back to smoke during the summer they are not as inclined to go out at this time of year. I have taken 20% to 25% of a hit in turnover."

Cafe where smoking ban was launched to close.
THE Dublin cafe where the Minister for Health launched the Irish smoking ban is to close by the end of the year. The owners of the famous Bewley's cafes at Grafton Street and Westmorland Street blame major increases in rent, rates and insurance. They say the cafes have also been hit by increasing competition, changes in dietary habits, difficult trading conditions in Dublin city centre and, most importantly, the smoking ban.
Bewley's began a coffee and tea importation business in the early 1800s and opened its first Oriental Cafe at Georges Street 110 years ago. The closure will mean redundancy for 234 staff.

LVA: 2,000 jobs lost.
THE Licensed Vintners Association has claimed the workplace smoking ban has led directly to the loss of 2,000 jobs in Dublin. The association, which represents publicans in Dublin, said pub sales were down by 16% since the ban was introduced on March 29. Donall O'Keefe, the chief executive of the LVA, said he did not accept suggestions that other factors, such as pricing, could have led to the drop in business.

IRISH SMOKERS are seeking refuge overseas and heading abroad, taking
weekend trips to countries where they can light up in peace. According to British tourism advertisement officials, the introduction of a ban on smoking in public in Ireland has triggered a boom in foreign holidays designed around the nicotine habit, with Scotland a favoured destination.
"When people go on holiday they want to drink, eat and in some cases, smoke cigarettes," said Barry Walsh of Joe Walsh Tours, one of the largest travel agents in the country. "Irish people are seeking holidays in hotels that allow them to do that. This will be a bumper year for travel agents."
Since March, when the ban was introduced, 10,000 more people have flown
from Dublin to Prestwick and Edinburgh airports than in the same period last year. The Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) said publicans were already seeing a rise in the number of Irish visitors.
Paul Waterstone of the SLTA said: "There is no doubt more people are coming from Ireland to Scotland because of the ban. We give smokers a choice."

Don't make the same mistake ...
A LETTER in the Glasgow Herald paints an interesting picture of Ireland
following the smoking ban. According to Des Johnston of Ballsbridge, Dublin, "The smoking ban has been in force now for some three months and, as exercises in social engineering go, this one has been an unmitigated disaster ...
"With a decrease in on-sales of 20%, publicans are becoming more inventive as they become more desperate, one pub in leafy Terenure (read Newton Mearns) now has what can only be described as a marquee with two walls missing appended to its entrance, while another in Ballsbridge (read Morningside) has a smoking area in the (open) cellar. Neither of these is technically illegal because neither is a fully enclosed area. All pubs have an ashtray outside where the usual suspects enjoy their evening, al fresco.
"Scotland should learn from these mistakes but will only do so if politicians accept that they cannot simply legislate to change people's behaviour, ban smoking inside pubs and customers will drink at home. I would suggest that there is a middle way in this case, ban smoking in pubs where non smokers have no choice but to breathe second hand smoke but allow for smoking rooms where facilities allow, our classic 'bar and lounge' pubs being the ideal vehicle."
He concludes: "I write this not as an apologist for the tobacco industry but as resident of Dublin who has seen an ideologically driven policy enacted to the detriment of both the city and people. Do not let this happen in Scotland."

Having a Wales of a time.
IRISH smokers are said to be crossing the sea to Wales so they can enjoy a drink and a smoke inside the pub. Welsh landlords are reporting a larger than usual number of Irish visitors "because they were fed up with the smoking ban introduced in Ireland on March 29".
According to Holyhead publican Wendy Williams, "They said it's nice to sit down and have a smoke and a drink and not have to go outside for a smoke." Julie Shankland of the Alma Inn in Pembroke Dock said, "They said it's a bit ridiculous if you want to have a smoke with a pint and you have to go outside."

Waterford pubs to challenge smoking ban.
SEVENTEEN Waterford publicans are to be backed by Europe's leading
constitutional lawyers to mount a constitutional challenge to a blanket
smoking ban in the workplace. A group calling themselves European Smokers Against Discrimination is to lodge documentation in the High Court, within the next two weeks.
In order to fund their campaign, ESAD have designed lighters which are
advertised and available in all of the participating bars at a cost of Euro 1.70
Proceeds from the sale of lighters will go towards legal fees for a top
constitutional barrister in Dublin, who has given his full support to the challenge and is confident the group have a case.
By way of compromise they are proposing that a designated area of the bar is reserved for smokers and that proper ventilation is installed in each bar. They would also be willing to comply, in full, with the recommendations and on the spot checks from a health inspector.
Meanwhile, Smokers Against Discrimination or SAD Ireland, based in Waterford, have also taken up the battle, but smoking is not the main issue for them. They believe that freedom of choice should not be compromised in a democratic country.

Rebel pubs and hotels flout the law.
SIX MONTHS into the Irish smoking ban, the Daily Telegraph reports that as trade in rural pubs plunges many are flouting the law. "In a town in Co Kerry at least half a dozen pubs are operating secret smoking rooms. In one traditional bar packed with locals and several tourists, people who asked where they could go for a cigarette were shown to a back room. Pints of Guinness sat on a wooden table and the room was filled with laughter and clouds of smoke ..."

Not content with controlling your life at work and leisure, the nfamous anti smoking group Ash.org are now calling for total smoking ban in private cars.

Yes, that will include your own, private car too.
The anti smoking busybodies, Ash Ireland, have called for a smoking ban in all private cars. While workplace smoking legislation banned lighting up in public vehicles such as taxis, it did not promote or restrict smoking in private vehicles, these pathetic do-gooders would like to change this.

It doesnt make for the possitive view of the anti smoking ban that they want us to see does it ?
It has made allies for the Tobacco Industry, and alienated the non smokers who once supported sensible views on helping people to quit the habbit.
Many non smokers are chosing to side with smokers in the fight for freedom in the countries that the bans have been foisted on us by nasty little beurocrats.

Although there seems to be a conspiracy of silence about the effects of the smoking ban, every now and again snippets of news come through about the real devastaion the smoking ban has caused.

I have started counting the number of cars in pub car parks when I am going on long journeys, I know its completely unscientific but a small indication of the amount of patronage there is now, compared to before the ban.
By my calculations I would say that the pubs are on their knees, another once great British institution has been toppled because of some big mouthed, do gooding treehugger with a power complex..

The effects of the ban are not being made known to the public, even Utube has been taken over by anti smoking zelots on this issue, isnt it about time you had your say ?
Did anyone ask you what you thought about a smoking ban ?

The smoking ban will not only effect pubs, soon we will see the effects on the hotel and liesure industy across the board, jobs will certainly go as winter approaches and people start staying at home for the warmth and comfort of their own homes..

Already punters are starting to ask why they have to pay the same amount for their drinks as the elite non smoking stuffshirts inside the pub.

This smoking apartheid is an afront to British fairmindedness.
OK its a smoking ban and you accept it, if you take it lying down whats next ?

What they cant prove they make up !
Stories of male dominance always served to stir the emotions and guarantee new recruits in past years but as people grow more educated these old myths loose their cutting edge.

Anyone who grew up in the working class background of the late forties and fifties will laugh if you tell them that women could be walked over, what a laugh !

'Hen Pecked husband' was the term that was used for female dominated men, a term of derision that still holds today.
People of my generation will remember well seeing men get hit with frying pans and the rolling pin was hilarious wasn't it fellas?

It seems the old double standards are still in place, hit a woman and you are rightly castigated: hit a man and they laugh.

The stories that men have always 'had it all' have worn thin to, the feminists never made it clear that men only got the vote only a few short years before them, they led us to believe that women had been fighting for centuries. The fact is that they wanted the vote before men did and would have been very satisfied had they got the vote and men hadnt.

Feminist's rewrite history aided and abbeted by downtrodden male feminist sympathisers who believe every word because of brainwashing used by our feminist led educational system.
Yes, its hard to believe there were once as many male feminists as female feminists but most of them have had a cruel awakening.

The equal opportunity commision has 81% of women running the show.
Women only sessions at swimming sessions, gyms, and alot of other liesure activities are creating an apathide culture for men who have never experienced any advantges over women, ever.

Women only shortlists, women only insurance, taxi's, and other business advantages ensure supremecy not equality.

There are countless inequalities on both sides beit male or female mainly caused by class barriers which still guard bastions of dominance by the middle classes.
It is to their advantage to keep men and women against each others throats, in doing so they get all the best jobs.
Look at the higher echelons of the womens movement I dont see any of them waiting for their Giro.

Year after year I have seen the rights of men and boys erroded, rights that your son will be denied, its no use crying when they deny him rights to see his own children, take away his home and probably lock him up for domestic violence he never perpetrated.
It will be of no use complaining when your son is denied a decent education by the feminist led education authorities.

There are countless inequalities being perpetrated on men today, you can deny it if you wish, go bury your head in the sand like an ostrich, but that is the truth, and nothing will change untill we all stand with one voice and demand equality for ALL.

It is being rumoured widely that the smoking ban due to come into operation in England from July, has set in motion plans to have demonstations of civil disobedience in the form of 'Smokins'
They are due to take place in Liverpool, the Potteries and Newcastle upon Tyne.

A spokesperson said 'Smokins will take the form of huge numbers of smokers and civil rights supporters disobeying this mockery of a law  by continuing to smoke, if the police are involved in such numbers it will cost the tax payer more to fund trials than this stupid law is worth, they went on 'This is an infrigement of civil liberties, this Government never told the electorate that they had any intentions of doing this, had they done so they would not have been elected' another spokeperson said this ban has been brought about by spin, they will ultimately criminalise ordinary decent people who enjoy a smoke'

People on holiday in Wales were horrified to see a ban in force as the new season began, one licencee said' This year we may just get away with it but people will not pay the same price for drinks  to sit outside whilst non smokers have the best facilities'

Enraged holidaymakers who were planning a premature return home commented 'This Government have gone to far, they never told us, or asked us our views on a smoking ban, the names of the MP'S who voted for this should be named and shamed'

The Smokins are rumoured to be a regular event until the Goverment does a u/turn on the smoking ban.

Large clubs and pubs are said to be the places that will be used, one clubowner said 'I cant be held responsible for not being able to cope with such vast numbers of people should they chose to smoke this ban will be unenforcable'

It seems the Government have alot more to do to convince us that this is a popular measure, at a time when Mr Brown will be taking over as leader will he want to be seen as the man who stopped smoking: but stopped New Labour an almost certain win at the next election?

In Life in Solitary Confinement: 12,775 Days Alone, (AlterNet, 4/17/07), Brooke Shelby Biggs details the cases of two Louisiana men who have spent the past 35 years in solitary confinement at Angola prison, perhaps on false, politically-motivated charges. Biggs writes:

"Around midday today, Central Time, two men in Angola Prison in Louisiana will quietly mark the moment, 35 years ago exactly, when the bars of solitary confinement cells closed behind them. They will likely spend the moment in their 6 by 9 concrete cells reading, or writing letters to their hundreds of supporters around the world. And most of America and the rest of the world will still have never heard of them, or that in the United States of America, it is still possible to spend a life sentence in solitary confinement without interruption and without any real means of appeal. Americans shamefully imagine such things happen offshore in places like Guantanamo, or in totalitarian countries half a world away. Not here, though. Certainly not here.

"Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox are those men, who along with Robert King, are known as the Angola Three. (King established his innocence and was released in 2001 after almost 30 years in solitary.) Collectively, the three of them have spent 100 years in solitary confinement. Wallace asked this week, 'Where is the justice?'"

One of the oldest political tricks in the book is to divide and rule, whilst we all set about one another the Government of any country can sit back and relax in the safe knowledge that us 'plebs' will leave them alone to do exactly what they want at the expense of our civil rights.

All Governments do it, the latest trick, the no smoking ban will set the cat amongst the pigeons for along time to come in Britain.

The self righteous, arrogant, 'Yahoo Henry's' representing the no smoking lobby are in their element sitting in their Ivory Towers of self righteous indignation whilst they drive their gas guzzling 4x4's, or swan off to exotic destinations poisoning us all gladly with deadly aviation fallout from the infected air that they claim they want to be clean.

The old adage ''One mans meat is another mans poison'' is never truer
than at this moment in time.
I will never advocate smoking to anyone, I believe it to be harmful to anyone who inhales tobacco in excess first hand.

The issue of second hand smoke is still debatable, its effects are undesirable to non smokers and smokers alike.
What angers me is when any group of individuals bent on getting their own way use any misinformation, or faulty data to sell their prejudiced argument to what would be a misinformed public.
Such is the argument about second hand smoke !

We have seen so much nonsense spewed from different organisations the British Government notwithstanding to realise that not all these people tell us is completely the truth, why now should anyone believe alot of the nonsenses they are telling us about smoking ?

So much faulty info exists to inflame people like me, so that we will write something like this.
You may realise what I am saying is the truth, if you are a non smoker, or a smoker you can be infuriated by willful interference with civil liberties. If you do believe me and repeat any of what I have said, guess what ?
The small but very vocal amount of anti smokers with jump down your throat giving the impression that the whole of Britain agrees with them...result 'Divide and Rule'

Yes, a very effective tactic is to appear to have more support for your cause than you actually have. The military have used this tactic since warfare began, shouting and screaming as you charge the enemy gives the impression of greater numbers.

Of all the polls they tell us they did about smoking, tell me when did anyone ask you about the subject ?
No one ever asked me !
The BBC have recently been accused of prize fixing and other forms of deceit, is it any wonder that people who realise that such an organisation is a tool of the state dont believe anything that they, or certain vested interests tell them about anything.

I know of three people who have started smoking again as an act of willful defiance against this totalitarian act of aggression against the smoking voters of this country.

The electorate will decide at the next election if they choose to be led by what many consider to be a pack of interfering, pumped up bunch of corrupt, grumpy, half witted, shameless bigots.

Finally I would like to say in truth, that if I, and millions of smokers had the choice we would not smoke at all.
Millions of my generation were encouraged to smoke by adverts that the television companies broadcast with the consent of previous Governments who probably had an interest in keeping the Tobacco Industry going for some reason.

Different chancellors in my opinion, including this one, have used the budget not just to persecute sections of its own electorate, but to boost the amount of money in Government coffers that non smokers have benefited by over the decades.

If premature death caused by smoking accounted for millions of lives over the decades, it must conclude, that blood money should still be keeping this country going for a good many years yet, including the National health service.

Blood money that was taken on every packet of over inflated tobacco products over the decades and was paid for by dead smokers, benefiting non smokers to this day.

Yes the the price and more has been paid for all the smoking related illnesses of now and future generations by the death of billions of people who never saw any of the benefits of the tax they paid on their 'ciggy's'

The next time you see us lined up in the cold whiffing on our fags, remember we paid the majority of your National health fees, the next time you get a blood transfusion you wont ask if the person who gave you the blood was a smoker, or will you ?

A very powerful emotional poem and we make no apologies for using it. It was sent to us by one of our members. Our information can be verified by the NSPCC adverts about the thousands of kids out there just like Sarah, being abused In drug and alcohol related homes through-out the UK.

We are broken hearted grandparents that have no right but to look on helplessly knowing their children are in this dangerous situation and because some of us have done something about it we have been excommunicated and our grandchildren are deprived of our love and protection. Without this legal right of contact the law is allowing the abuser to go on and on until the kids end up in hospital or worse.

Like the couple recently who got 22 years in prison for abusing children over a long period and the foster carer who is at present being prosecuted for child abuse also over a long period. Why grandparents especially? You might say.

We are the biggest carers of children from problem homes and usually love their grandchildren without reservations. They step in at a moments notice when needed and look after them mostly without assistance. They provide a warm loving home environment that children recognise and need when they are terrified and in trouble.

So you don?t have children, not your concern?
Think again. The treatment of children depends on how peacefully and safely we all live in the future, how can a child care or respect anyone when they do not learn this from us. High numbers of children from broken, drug and alcohol related homes are mostly affected. The children concerned are reported to be under-achievers and are associated with vandalism and crime incidences. These children are usually inflicted with a low self esteem and feel the whole world is against them. Their human rights are ignored and they are being treated like goods to be traded by Social Services (SS}. SS have failed miserably in helping these families and now resort to turning the children over for adoption as quickly and cheaply as they can. Cost being the Criteria rather than ?the best interests of the children?. If grandparents were considered legally there would be less need for adoption.

Please pass this poem on as a blue ribbon against child abuse because as crazy as it might sound, it might just indirectly save a child?s life.

It seems all our licence fee money rolling about in the coffers of the BBC cant buy the efficiency that the British public demand.
It looks like the BBC once loved as a bastion of truth and integrity throughout the world, now rolls in its death throws as we hear allegation after allegation of prize fixing and corruption of the truth in its reporting of news stories.

It seems that 'Rip off Britain' has another recruit along with what alot of people regard as its partner in crime the Labour Party.
From what I have heard the BBC has reached the bottom of the heap in the perception of ordinary people in this country.

With so many private TV companies emerging with far better programing, is it now time to scrap the licencing fee that we all have to pay, regardless of the fact that many people are paying for something they dont even watch ?
Its grossly unfair to have a hugely public funded organisation rake money from the British public to fund programs that most of them will never see.

A German belly dancer has been awarded £12,000 compensation after a plastic surgeon accidentally sucked away one of her buttocks.

Julia 'Cleopatra' Meyer, 38, from Munich, wanted slimmer thighs and instead ended up with half her bum missing.

The court heard that during the liposuction the plastic surgeon, not named, from a private clinic, had removed fat from her right buttock instead of her thighs.

She said: "I had been unhappy with my saddlebags, the fat stored in the outer thigh area.

Because of the local anaesthesia I did not realise what he was doing.

"When I saw afterwards that half of my bum was missing I almost fainted. It had been completely sucked away."

A consultant at the Berlin Charité hospital asked for an expert opinion said it was a "grave error in treatment".

The court heard the woman can no longer perform. She does not even dare to go to a swimming pool because she is ashamed of the way she looks.

The surgeon has been ordered to pay her £12,000 - twice the £6,000 she had been seeking.

A spokesman for some political party on Radio Five had what I would call a typical modern politicians view of what went on at the Blue Peter kids show.
His seemed to think  that it was all perfectly innocent, no harm was done, it was as if he was saying that 'by degrees' this incident was not as bad as the alleged incidents involving other premium rate charges, or alleged prize fixing with other shows throughout the whole broadcasting industry.

Well Mr Spokesman let me give you my view, it is my opinion that the Blue Peter incident is as bad, if not worse, than any of the other alleged incidents with the Media.
It is worse, because it involved the children of these British Isles.

A once cherished children's program has been tainted with corruption like it seems with everything in this rotting decadent society of ours. To most observers it seemed like these people only owned up because they had been found out.
The prize fixing issue is one that will not go away, if shows like Blue Peter are doing it, how many others are also ?

For years it has been known that television companies have used actors as contestants in quiz shows.
Yesterday on Radio Five a person claiming to be an actor said he had taken part in quiz shows.

The once trusted BBC has to now prove to alot of people that the Lottery is safe in their hands, people I know are already questioning the fact that the Dale Winton quiz program leading up to the draw has looked to them to be 'very dodgy' at times.
If this is the public perception something has to be done !

It must be made known to all the makers of shows that graft and corruption will not be tolerated throughout the industry.
Further more' those in the top jobs should resign for allowing this to go on within their organisation, yes 'heads must roll' on this issue.

These people at the top of the Corporation are 'civil servants' paid by you and I with our taxes, and our licence fee's, they seem powerful, and indestructible.
 
Giving the impression of reward for either inefficiency, or complicity in corruption within the upper echelons of power in this country, is no way to stamp out this creeping infection within the fabric of our society. Justice must be done, and for once, it must be seen to be done.

A Chinese man has let his fingernails on one hand grow for 15 years.

Li Jianping, 43, of Shishi City, Fujian province, says the nails on his left hand are one metre long in total.

He told the Straits City News he was very proud of them but admitted they could be an inconvenience at times.

“I never go to crowded places. And during sleep, I have to keep my left wrist under my head to prevent the hand from moving,” says Li, who owns a grocery store.

The current length took 15 years to achieve, but he first started to grow them 23 years ago.

“When I was 20, I read a news report saying an Indian man had let the fingernails on his left hand grow to around one meter. Then I made up my mind to surpass him," he said.

“Before 1992, my nails were broken twice in accidents: once when I was moving things, the second time by a friend. Each time I had to start over.”

I want to drive it where I want, when I want, I want everyone to have one. I want to be able to drive it without fear of speed cameras, I want to stop bloody useless mot tests, I want to keep my 4x4 without being told its a gas guzzler.
 
In short I dont like being told how I should live my life by anyone. If I want those things I offer this film as part of the solution to the problem that we say we have so that anyone like me can have the freedom to live in peace with their car.

This is just the begining of this subject for me.
All the restrictions we are facing in this country are part of a war on society waged by huge vested interests who are prepared to use anyone, or anything to get their own way.

Someone once said that 'War makes strange bedfellows' their is non stranger than Big Business and Feminism.

I remember sitting in front of the TV a while back now and watching News at ten, as we sat spitting at the politician's is our custom, we were aghast as we saw pictures of an Arab gentleman who claimed he had invented a process to allow Lorry's to run on water..
Watching this, I assumed we had just seen world changing news, that from now on, we would
see a cheap renewable energy change the shape of a world  that in its death throws was crying out for one last chance at life.

For two thousand and seven years, mankind has suffered poverty, disease, famine, and wars. The great God of science has given us better means to create and sustain all those atrocities whilst we all sit idly by and allow it to happen.

Most of us knew what was going to happen in Iraq, we had seen it in Vietnam in the sixties, I would go as far as saying that 'the powers that be' knew what was going to happen, but they still went ahead.

Now as then, we sit in front of our TV screen and eat our evening meal, as we watch images of someones son being brought back in a flag draped coffin.
The violence on our TV screen cheapens the life of men so much that we seem impervious to the deaths of another mothers son.
I say men because the numbers of fatalities of men within the armed forces are far higher than women.

Yes the great God of science to which we all bow has done so much for us, along with our great politicians who control and exploit every bad innovation that the human mind can conceive.
Even the seemingly quite innocent things we take for granted are used as tools against us. Computers, Computer games, TV, Movies, and Music are used to numb our minds to the things that are going on around us.

Ask yourself, were you watching football when the last disaster struck, did you turn over from watching the Oscars when you heard some news about your fellow man in need ?
I am not knocking you, we all do it. We all fall for it because that's the way THEY meant it to be,

The great God of science that preaches the survival of the fittest has no time for compassion.
This wonderful God of science relies on premature death, abortion, war, famine and natural disaster to render down the surplus population. These godless inhuman practicle thinkers are little better than robots, void of all human emotion, incapable of feeling guilt.

The corridors of power, that once gave us democracy pay lip service to these things whilst their corruption and self serving love of monetarism allows them to get rich, at the expense of even those who support those same ideals.

Guess what the other night I was watching a documentary and do you know what I saw ?
Two men in America are running a Ford Escort on water, notice I said a Ford Escort !
This was old news, why has it been hushed up ? this same process turns all emissions from the car, back into water!

So lets see what these so called 'green politicians' are made of lets see these 'paragons of modernity' exploit this great invention for the good of all mankind.

Tomorrow I will post video for you to see for yourself how a car can run for eight hundred miles on eight pints of water !

Then ask yourself why a world that has an economy based on oil sales is not using this renewable energy that they are all talking about.

Lets see how green you are Mr Campbell and Mr Brown come on we dare you !

If you have neighbours from hell, you can  solve the problem easily these days, thats if you have enough money.

A fighter jet and a surface-to-air missile were put up for sale on the Chinese equivalent of eBay.

The Jian-5 fighter jet and Red-flag-2 missile were listed on www.taobao.com, China's biggest online auction site.

The seller, web-named 'gsam131139842', claimed they were from his private collection and that he had the right to sell them.

“There’re no particular laws to prohibit such a purchase, and plus, the weapons systems have been removed," he told the East Day News.

He was seeking £20,000 for the fighter jet, £32,000 for the missile, plus a £1,300 transportation fee.

“I can dismantle the weapons first, then assemble them at your place,” the seller reportedly offered.

The seller said he was from Hubei province, and that the main reason for the sale was that he urgently needed money.

“I actually also have a T-34/76 tank, which served in the Korean War around 60 years ago, and still runs," he said.

He said he didn’t put the tank on the website because it was rusty but he was prepared to sell it for £13,000.

The East Day News says the weapons were later deleted from the auction website.

Making ‘The Charter for Grandchildren’ legal.

The present Scottish Executive have done a very brave historic move in creating ‘The Charter for Grandchildren’ but unfortunately they refused to include it in the Family Law Bill Scotland 2006. Their idea was to change the attitudes of families without the use of legislation, a very naive way of thinking from the Executive who are so far removed from the facts presented to them. Everyone knows people will not change unless they are made to do so. We are constantly pointing out the problems to our MSPs most of them are very sympathetic and some have signed our petition at our exhibition on 7^th & 8^th  March 2007 in the Scottish Parliament, but the Executives are favouring politics rather than the welfare of children.

We are not talking about families who would not dream of breaking their family apart and will go to great lengths to sort out their problems by commonsense methods or by mediation which is readily available.

The group in the most danger has had various reports of 160,000, children living in drug or alcohol related homes. The important fact is, it is a huge problem. The social services cannot cope and are sending children back into such homes where they are still in danger of further abuse. The family law at present is so one-sided with the resident parent having all the power to exclude anyone from contacting the children. In a danger home, if no-one is allowed contact the abuse goes on until the child/ren land in hospital or worse. The abuser in effect has the full protection of the law.

Social services now have bonus targets in the turnover of children being adopted and use methods such as ‘Alienation’ and ‘Adoption without consent’ from any member of the child’s family. To increase the adoption turnover they have created a new market of adopters, gay and single people. We must say or we will get our bottoms smacked that we are not against gay or single people but against the social services treating the children as commodities  to be disposed of as cheaply and quickly as possible and opening the floodgates to paedophiles. The other day a report from Aberdeen said a paedophile was allowed to foster a child. I rest my case on that score.

The government are inviting problems for children by not giving them the legal right to their grandparents protection. If contact was legal it would not be a problem and the children would not be used as weapons or blackmail in family arguments.

Why grandparents especially? I was asked. Grandparents are the biggest carer of children from problem homes in the UK and do not hesitate to stand in when their families have problems. They are usually denied assistance from social services if they have taken them voluntary. If they are on the pension they have little enough to live on but do their best by scrimping and borrowing to make sure the children do not suffer in poverty. Children need the protection from their grandparents and must have legal rights to ensure that they are adequately provided for. So help put a ‘Full Stop’ to the abuse of thousands of children still in danger

Indian weds corpse Saturday March 10, 08:45 AM

AHMEDABAD, India

An Indian woman, despairing over her lover's accidental death when he fell down a well soon after their engagement, insisted on ceremonially marrying his corpse just minutes before the cremation.

"It was for just few minutes the girl was dressed as a bride and then as a widow," K.M. Kapadia, a police officer in the town of Anand in western Gujarat state, said on Saturday.

Wedding attendees sat the corpse up by a fire, the traditional centre of Hindu wedding ceremonies, and chanted some marriage prayers before cremating the body, police said.

"The girl refused to give away the body of her lover for the cremation till she tied the knot with him," Kapadia said.

The bride's parents opposed the marriage but later attended the wedding ceremony and gave their 22-year-old daughter Tulsi Devipujak clothes and utensils as gifts, according to the Hindu tradition.

A 43-year-old German decided to settle his imminent divorce by chainsawing a family home in two and making off with his half in a forklift truck.
Police in the eastern town of Sonneberg said on Friday the trained mason measured the single-storey summer house -- which was some 8 meters (26 feet) long and 6 meters wide -- before chainsawing through the wooden roof and walls.

"The man said he was just taking his due," said a police spokesman. "But I don't think his wife was too pleased."

After finishing the job, the man picked up his half with the forklift truck and drove to his brother's house where he has since been staying.

Saddam trial judge seeks asylum in Britain: report

The Iraqi trial judge who sentenced former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to death has asked for asylum in Britain, Al Jazeera television said on Friday.
The television's London correspondent said that Raouf Abdel Rahman had asked for asylum after going to Britain with his family in mid-December on a visitor's visa.

"The information we have is that the judge sought asylum for reasons including that he fears for his own life and the lives of family members ... The application is being considered by the Home Office," said the correspondent, Nasser al-Badri, citing unnamed official British sources.

There was no immediate comment from British or Iraqi officials.

Saddam Hussein was executed on December 30, 2006 after being found guilty of crimes against humanity and sentenced to hang on November 5 in the court headed by Abdel Rahman. The trial was over the killing of 148 Shi'ite men after a 1982 assassination attempt against Saddam in the Iraqi town of Dujail.

Abdel Rahman, a Kurd, was named as chief judge in the trial in January 2006, after Rizgar Amin resigned in protest at what he said was pressure from the Iraqi government.

Abdel Rahman also found guilty and sentenced to death Saddam's former chief judge, Awad Hamed al-Bander and Saddam's half-brother, Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti. Both were executed.

I lost sight of what matters, if I provoke a thought you never had before, if I learn from you, if I enrich somebodies life with a strange story or joke, then I did what I set out to do.

So now I dont know what path to take, it looks like I am at a crossroads.

Dear friends, I have to say that this will be my last posting on this blog..I have tried, but feel I have no more to say. This old heart of mine just isnt in it anymore. My health is not the best and though my spirit may be willing my flesh is weak.. I wish you all the very best and hope the world treats you well. God Bless YOU ALL. German maternity wards have reported they are fully booked and having to arrange beds in other wards to accomodate all the women expecting babies in April.

Midwife Barbara Freischuetz from Cologne said: "The women say that the baby is a souvenir from the World Cup. A product of the euphoria from the tournament."

Most women who are expecting sons are planning to call them Lukas, Bastian and Michael.

Midwife Doris Zeiselmeier from Munich said: "All the maternity courses are totally booked out."

The worst type of feminist I have come across is the male version, (even the fems hate this bunch)..they have a Mother fixation, they put women on that high a pedestal that they cant see no further that the clouds that they think all women have ascended into. Let me say at the outset that I am not against women: I am against a political ideology, when I speak against feminism it is no worse that speaking against any other form of political indoctrination. Its very strange that fems encourage a belief that if one speaks against one, you speak against them both.

Recent surveys have shown that over 75% of British women do not embrace feminist ideals. I dont hold with the idea that all men are good, and all women are bad...thats as bad as feminism..dont contact me if you hold those kind of views I AM NOT INTERESTED 
I and many others want a fair society based on fairness, regardless of sex, colour or creed. I will continue to speak against anything that I think is wrong and to blazes with the ones who dont like it !

I dont want to dwell on this subject as I like to cut a paste things of interest to my friends and myself, life isnt all gloom and doom and I always want to reflect that in my blog.
But I promise this I wont hold back from speaking up when need be...
I cant say its good to be back because I dont know what kind of reception I am going to get, ratings dont matter to me as I am not in this for a popularity contest, I never was, so I will carry on regardless..I hope you enjoy the blog.

Hello folks, in case you dont know who I am, my name is Rob Layton.
I intending to start publishing this blog again starting next Monday (God willing)
I have been away for a while because of ill health which is an ongoing thing I have to bare.
If I disappear from time to time that's what is about, any comments not answered will have to wait until I am well enough to answer them. Because of various threats and bad messages I had last time I am activating the facility to ask you to post your email address first in the hope it will deter the idiots from posting such filth. Before I left last time I asked all those who wanted to remain on my friends list to invite me. I was left with Safriz and Reiki-Girl and I wish to thank them from the bottom of my heart, I wont forget. It remains only for me to say I will see you on Monday.
